Indeed I am happy to see all these replies !! Thank you all so much for the responses. I'm trying to learn more about the piece to determine a marketable value. I guess most antiques have their range of values, and most are worth what someone is willing to pay ? This particular piece is bidding up and there are 2 weeks in the estate auction. The house is open for inspection of all pieces on 5/28/19. Auction closes on 5/29. I am going in person to get a better look at it, and determine my final bid. I just purchased many other items from a local estate auction. I will post pics and perhaps get some feedback?! Thanks again everyone who chimed in on my post

No, it's a piece I'm currently bidding on in an estate auction.

I'm at little late to this post, but just want to say that your piece is a nice example of C.F. Monroe's Wave Crest wares. The color may be a dark cobalt blue, and similar pieces were also done in dark green. The forget-me-not flowers are used on a number of Wave Crest pieces. The ormolu mounts were common on Wave Crest wares and were likely made by the Meriden Britannia Co. which was located on one floor of the C.F. Monroe building in Meriden, CT. In 1903, the C.F. Monroe company also produced a line of Rich Cut Glass (American Brilliant) and there are some very nice examples around.
A few years ago, Wave Crest was commanding very high prices, but the market - along with much pottery and glass - has gone down.
I have my great grandmother's Wave Crest dresser set and just love it.

Thank you ascot for the info !! Very interesting and informative. I might just buy it and give to my wife on her birthday. It's a beautiful piece indeed.
