    Joy.....wishing for better sleep evenings for you.........

    (Many of us have been called "fuzzy" even WITH sleep.....:facepalm:)

    Figtree....I was going to mention one of the doll clubs. I couldn't remember the name of the Federation, and didn't even know that they were still active. A member of anyone of them could be helpful.

    Thanks for your imput also.

    The face may be registered but the arms and clothing are hand sewn ... could we see the legs, feet and body please? they are probably hand sewn too ...

    the model as a whole is registered - stark nekked. and as long as it's only "registered" in the old German patent system it can lose the model-protection after seven (small patent) or ten years when not properly patented. this had the advantage that there was a copy protection for all the new inventions that eventually didn't become a success and simply expired when not renewed.

    One could purchase just the head (and other body parts) back in the day .. mostly for repair of broken dolls .. does NOT mean that the whole doll is registered. This doll has a purchased head and a hand-made body that did not belong originally to the doll head .. the HEAD is registered and the whole body and clothing are hand-made by the owner !! ... My years of study let me know that this doll is not completely registered but was purchased as head only and the whole rest of the doll was home-made and hand stitched. Joy.

    @Christmasjoy
    thanks for the explanation. I have let Debbie know all the info you all have provided. I believe we will just donate the dolls to goodwill.
