Maven, this is just a suggestion - perhaps it is time to look towards having your entire collection insured for the true value of it.

 

Thank You for the suggestion @antidiem I have already had my collection appraised, a small fortune for sure. The new Mata Hari collection will be assessed now as well. For me, it’s not totally the value, I do it for the love of it, but, it is certainly good to be covered in case something should happen. ❤️Maven

 

*Just an update on my Mata Hari collection.

I have in my possession two of the four rare era correct prints, but with what is going on world-wide, the shipping on the other two has been very, and understandable delayed (I had bought them from the same collection at different time periods, and documentation for these items...wow!). Considering these are coming from a private collection in Europe.

Here is a photo I prepared of the two that are safely here, and they arrived in incredibly protective packaging. This is of a theme I have for the collection. Just a quick design by me! ❤️Maven

Sort of...to give a “feel” and allure for the collection as well, for hopefully a day in the future when I can have a showing/presentation here at home for people I know...that could be quite a wait considering the condition of our world presently. ❤️Maven

@sabre123 I think it does too. I got the inspiration while I had been watching the documentary “Mata Hari, The Naked Spy”. I guess I had been focused on the allure part of her mystique when this came to mind. I certainly have time to do some refinements of the concept. I would like to do these photos justice. ❤️Maven

 

Maybe when the day comes to present the photos, I will make it a themed evening for everyone, everybody in costumes, music, et all (I’ll become Maven Hari)......a gathering when times are safer again, that could be a long wait. ❤️Maven

I would love to be able to do that concept now, but definitely not prudent during COVID. Besides all the photos are not yet all together. I would definitely love to do this perhaps in the future though, it would be an evening to experience, I would have so much fun decorating my place accordingly. ❤️Maven

Another Mata Hari Update;

Some excellent news to brighten up my already happy day!

The third Mata Hari era correct portrait has arrived safely through customs, and is here with me at home...this is the portrait from 1914 taken out of its original frame. Under magnification, the texture of the photo paper is incredible. I’m very elated, just one more to arrive. I will try to put them all together in a photo display like the previous one for all to see. ❤️Maven

 

An update on my Mata Hari collection since the last time I was on the forum. All four originals are now in my possession, I will have to wait awhile until they all can be preservation framed. They are currently locked away safely in dark storage until that time. I prepared a quick display of all of them, I took a bit of creative license in my adaptation I created a little while back, these are all cyanotype proofs, but appear a bit warmer in my graphic advert creation. Needless to say, I’m very delighted to have them all now. ❤️Maven
