What surprised me was there were paper bags with oyster shells in them and beer bottles. Also found banana peels!!!! I thought all of this stuff should have rotted away. Paper bags and banana peels who knew??? I mean I expected leather shoes and metal and such but never ever expected paper bags and banana peels. The neatest thing I ever found was a human skull. I was digging in a trench for bottles in the 1960s and this skull fell out of the wall of dirt. I jumped a few feet and then looked at it closely. It was all wired together including the jaw bones. I called the local police and they agreed that it was an old anatomical specimen. Dug all around but no more bones showed themselves. I sold the skull for 125 bucks at a yard sale.

greg[/QUOTE]
