My grandmother's ring (Married in early 1900's) was a ruby and diamond ring. Personally I think you have chosen well. She is certainly not going to meet any of those people who would have the same ring. I think it is unique. One meaning of unique is "departing from what is ordinary, usual" that is what you have.

Please don't be disappointed @LimePuddin , it is a beautiful ring, and 1959 means it isn't recently made. Not every other hand in America will have an identical ring.
The design with the scrolls is beautiful, it is inspired by 18th century stack rings (a ring you can 'stack' on other rings).

If it was misrepresented by the seller, surely you can return it and get a refund?
Having said that, I'm sure your fiancée will love it, it is beautiful, and chosen with care and love.

Nice to know there are still knights in shining armour out there.
Great choice of a beautiful ring.
    She will love it :)

Yup. Those post-WWII pinhead diamond rings were used to propose many a marriage that lasted 50 years plus. It's not the ring that matters.

Aww, so lovely that you want to give her something unique, but whatever you get will be special to her. I think this is a sweet ring, and good for wearing every day. I don't wear my engagement ring (a) because it's a bit tight now, and (b) because of the high setting, not the most practical. But that's on me because I chose it with my husband! :D

It’s still lovely and I’m sure she will treasure it. What a wonderful gesture on your part!
