    I was perusing an auction catalog and came across something that made me think of this thread... a little pendant of Nelson in his coffin!

    Actually, I think they have got it wrong, I think it is Napoleon, not Nelson!

    The tomb is very similar to Napoleon's in Paris, and the N cartouche on the top is very reminiscent of Napoleon's, not to mention he has two arms and the somewhat typical Napoleon stance.

    And 'the Duke of Nelson'?? :rolleyes:

    A rather weird, but fascinating little curio nonetheless!

    Ah yes, a souvenir from a visit to Napoleon's tomb in Paris!
