<p>
The painting is about 10 x 12 in a 19 x 21.5 frame. First 2 photos framed, the rest taken unframed. I showed it framed to someone who knows something about art and they thought it might be charcoal or charcoal pencil with a watercolor wash background. Unframed it looks and feels like paint. </p><p><br /></p><p>It is signed Greene and online research led me to Stephen Greene, a known abstract artist. Signature looks similar to the ones in the links below, some more than others. I sent an inquiry to Bonhams, </p><p>who replied with a not interested. I then sent an inquiry to Rago, who did not reply. So if it is by Stephen Greene, probably not hugely valuable. Still, I would like to know if it is by Stephen Greene before selling it. Also, what kind of paint do you think it is?</p><p><br /></p><p>Thank you for any comments or help.</p><p><br /></p><p><a href="https://www.ebay.com/itm/184853405777" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://www.ebay.com/itm/184853405777" rel="nofollow">https://www.ebay.com/itm/184853405777</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="https://www.singulart.com/en/artworks/stephen-greene-untitled-2024747" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://www.singulart.com/en/artworks/stephen-greene-untitled-2024747" rel="nofollow">https://www.singulart.com/en/artworks/stephen-greene-untitled-2024747</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="https://www.1stdibs.com/art/paintings/abstract-paintings/stephen-greene-prometheus-10/id-a_14799032/#zoomModalOpen" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://www.1stdibs.com/art/paintings/abstract-paintings/stephen-greene-prometheus-10/id-a_14799032/#zoomModalOpen" rel="nofollow">https://www.1stdibs.com/art/paintings/abstract-paintings/stephen-greene-prometheus-10/id-a_14799032/#zoomModalOpen</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="https://www.1stdibs.com/art/drawings-watercolor-paintings/abstract-drawings-watercolors/stephen-greene-abstract-mixed-media-painting-stephen-greene/id-a_2882141/#zoomModalOpen" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://www.1stdibs.com/art/drawings-watercolor-paintings/abstract-drawings-watercolors/stephen-greene-abstract-mixed-media-painting-stephen-greene/id-a_2882141/#zoomModalOpen" rel="nofollow">https://www.1stdibs.com/art/drawings-watercolor-paintings/abstract-drawings-watercolors/stephen-greene-abstract-mixed-media-painting-stephen-greene/id-a_2882141/#zoomModalOpen</a></p><p>
</p><p><br /></p>
