And yes, he did do &#039;TVC 15.&#039;&nbsp; The Thin White Duke!</p><p><br /></p><p>I later saw him in Kansas City on the tour when they recorded the &#039;Stage&#039; album. A big band, with Carlos Alomar conducting &#039;Warzawa&#039; without Bowie....He initially refused to come to Kansas City because only a couple of hundred people turned out for Ziggy Stardust, and he held a grudge. </p><p><br /></p><p>I had tickets for Joy Division&#039;s first U.S. tour. I still remember where I was when I heard Ian died. Under-attended but he did stuff from all phases of PIL&#039;s career.
