A lady on a column

    Here are some more pictures that show she is wearing a bird as a hat,or a bird has got its feet tangled in her hairnet, with the right hand she is holding what looks like a small wreath, possibly to beat the bird off with.

    She unscrews from the column, revealing a number.

    I think you may have it there. The actual statue feels more like bronze than spelter, and while it would be impossible to bend spelter, bronze (or brass) could bend like that without breaking, and the holes must have been for her missing wings.

    So, it's damaged and incomplete, off to the bin with it.

    Oh darn, and I was having so much fun searching for the ghost of the woman walking the beach near the lighthouse, searching for her lost seaman.

    Glad you're not trashing it. Even if a buyer didn't care for the wingless lady, I could picture a variety of uses for the column.
