Featured 60's Modern? What era is this glass lamp?

    Amazing that I have a maker's name for this lamp.

    And here is one on Ebay (different color glass) with the exact same patterned diffuser as mine.

    Also learned from same auction that this style with the diffuser was built to use a "larger" base bulb (when were those popular? Was it for older 3-way bulbs?) and therefore had an adapter, just like mine has. And why I thought it was re-wired, because that adapter piece is newer with the "China" stamp. Learning here!

    The large bulb is called a mogul base as indicated before. They were a higher wattage 3-way bulb. Believe using the inserts makes them one-way only. You can still get mogul based 3-way bulbs. They are very bright and hot!

    Maybe that is why you need a diffuser??

    Also, so that is what is meant by a "mogul" base.

    Brad, you just answered another question I had. The lamp I have seems to be a 3-way, but only works as 1-way. Must be the converter in there.
