Featured 1860's English Sampler Letters/numbers meaning ?

    Ideas only:
    Initials of church roles
    Initials of grandparents
    Initials of towns/birthplaces
    Initials of siblings

    I dont think these initials are fillers, I do think they have meaning which is most likely to be unlocked by genealogical research into the girl and her parents.

    But atm, no real clue!!

    Colours are amazing. I suspect she used the newer aniline synthetic dyes, given her age - they were jsut becoming available.
