119 Year Old Coffee Pot?

    Thanks for the info! I did a Wikipedia search on both Musgraves & Co, and of Mr. F. Simms, who the pot was presented to by the workpeople of Musgraves. So, both were engineers, and both doing well in businesses in 1897. Frederick Simms was an inventor and motor industry pioneer!

    I had thought that too, but since no one was disputing coffee pot, I was reluctant to suggest it. I wasn't 100% sure.

    If the motor connection came up in an auction dealing with automobilia the price tag might go up smartly. It's car guy stuff the car guy's wife might let into the house.:)

    Here is another tea urn by John Noddler & Sons. The pic has 2 tea urns with the one on our right by Nodders. It is described as pewter. The other one is brass with no maker's name given. Together they sold for £60 ($74+ USD) in 2005.
