from the stuff you're finding....I'd say it's her husbands stuff.....

Yes probably, there's her parents stuff too and 30's 40's baby stuff.
Enough photos to fill a car, newspapers, receipts, all her birthday cards and Christmas cards for the last 80 years.
    Postcards, church correspondence.
    Wedding, Christening invitations, funeral cards
More books than a library .
I've smashed up 4 wardrobes this morning so I could get access to one bedroom, the doors would not open because the junk on the floor is 2 feet deep.
Clothes and shoes from the year dot, nothing has been thrown away.
I've tossed out food from the kitchen with sell by dates of 2002, as fast as I was throwing the food out, Romanian gypsy's (Roma) were taking it away.
    Its quite bizarre:D

If they are Twinkies....they're still good !! ;):hilarious::hilarious:

Do those folks bother you in any way......or do they just gravitate towards what you toss out ?

They were asking to come in and help.

    I said no

I told them they could have anything I put outside and not to make a mess.

They took it all, furniture, clothing, bedding, food.

Overnight they came back and ransacked the skip.

I had to put back about half a ton of junk when I got there this morning.

I had the skip removed as it was full.

They brought their men folk at lunchtime, I made sure they could see me carrying my work tool, a Fire Axe, because these type would stab you if you turn you back on them.

I used Google translate on my phone, English to Romanian, informing them that I was working for the police and if they interfered they would be deported.:D
They can return on Thursday and take anything I leave out.

It seemed to do the trick:D

Then I was visited by a Pole who was as high as a kite on Spice (synthetic marijuana), he thought he had a right to enter and see what was happening, I went to remove him and felt his arm tense up.

A quick twist of his wrist into a swans neck and he was licking concrete :D

    He decided to leave.

I'd say if they want the trash, they're welcome to it.(LOL) No tip fees if they grab it!

All of the old paper, btw, ought to sell handily at a flea market/brocante/car boot. I bought a stack of postcards this morning myself.

Do you have problems like this with every house clean out?

    Never .:D

Its just this one is in a high crime , high immigrant area.

When I was in the police, this particular street was known as "murder mile"

Its improved vastly since but one needs eyes in the back of your head if you find yourself around there..

I don't know why the deceased lived there, she moved from a nice market town.

The property was a new build 16-18 years ago, designed to improve the area.

I hit the years' first tag sales today. One was advertised in the next town over that turned out to be a hoax - someone was playing nasty games. One was a dry well. They had stuff, but if it was on one table the prices were negotiable. Everything I wanted was overpriced and firm. Bye, folks. Third sale? A free coffee mug ... for someone else. Total spend: whatever I'd spent on gas. Fourth sale....? Jackpot. A flea dealer cleaning out "junk" and selling cheap.

I got a stack of postcards including some with nice graphics. An Uncle Wiggily kiddie mug advertising Ovaltine (small cracks, but it's 100 years old or close), advertising pins from Chevy, a tortoiseshell pin, what's probably a bag of frankincense, a desk fountain pen with gold nib, and.... a vintage photo of the Bluebird car. It was used to set speed records in Daytona in the 30s. And a coromandel gentleman. It all cost $11. Total. Then I made a pit stop and headed to a sale in another town. Got there, took one look at the steep and long driveway and kept going. Blew $30 in an antique store. The 14k mass-produced hoop earrings in my pile ought to cover $20 of that.(LOL) Told me they were sterling. Oops.

The last shot is what I found on Tuesday, minus the straight to scrap gold. The "cameo" is Italian 14k with full hallmarks, but it's one of the blue ones. The bracelet is heavy Mexican silver with stone and the earrings are 950 silver. NA maybe. The skunk is more Mexican silver, but he's worth more as a goofy skunk.

From the shade of blue, it does not even look like one of the ultrasonically cut stone ones, more like ceramic. The world won't miss it.

I was half thinking of giving it to my sister. Not my style either, but she'd like it. The chain is the one it came on - gold-filled. There isn't a ton of gold in it; the back is open.

    kyratango Bug jewellery addiction!

    Fantastic wood masks:woot:!

I'd first go with a medium soft DRY paint brush to remove dust, then stamp or slightly rub with pieces of soft bread. (The inside white part of our fresh French baguette de pain is perfect:p).
