Good call, spot on. In addition, it's not actually a painting, but rather a mechanically reproduced image made for decoration purposes.
Rather creepy I'd say.
Susan, spot on. 1960's at the earliest. Decorative value.
Thank you Mark and yes you are correct. This item would be a serigraph.
I agree, looks like a silkscreen lithograph. Nice image.
This is an interesting thread that caused me to reflect on my own behavior. I've been a longtime student and collector in a few distinct areas...
Scapolite is not valuable but is a nice looking gem and is a gem that few people own. Unique.
The ring's not too old but still old enough that the stone could be Scapolite (if your fortunate) but is more likely glass.
I believe it to be modern, 1970's-present, Chinese motif, probably made in Taiwan or Macau. Decorative more than collectible. It's ok to scrub it...
Pretty little vase, great colors. I don't see a Chinese influence unless it's modern.
I agree with the first two stone IDs, the third looks to me like Bloodstone.
A photo might help.
I suspect the photo is upside down. I think it should be right side up when hinged up to share with others. A memory broach. Not sure if it honors...
The photos cut off too much of the front, back and scroll to allow for a good photo evaluation. Also need a full length side view, top of scroll...
I'm thinking Japanese.
