    Fake Rookwood Pottery vase?

    I found this on a Cincinnati auction site. It looks like the same shape but from 1881. I assume they picked up earlier designs and reproduced them...

    I think you are right. The clay to fill the hole was put on afterward and filled in the manufacture date numerals. Thanks.

    Fake Rookwood Pottery vase?

    I found this at a flea market. It doesn't look like Rookwood quality but took it home for a few dollars. The bottom is not glazed as RP always is....
