Thanks for the reply , I will look into that. Do you know the specific purpose of the design of the jaws?
Looking for info on this vise, around 10" long , 4" tall, 2" wide jaws, and weighs 8-1/2 pounds, wrench included. No visible markings!!
Aren't all of those asking prices?
I don't think it is Asian in origin, the hardware is slotted flat head wood screws.
The more that I look at it, it seems that the mechanical advantage would be in a lifting mode, judging by the angle of the notches.
There are numerous versions of wood/metal fence stretchers
It's a piece of chain, was most likely longer at one time and passed through one of the holes in the bottom rail. So, my thinking is the handle...
In the tool world, when all else fails, it is either a saw set, a leather tool, or a fence stretcher!!:)
I tried a few new photos! I think it is used to raise/lower or stretch something!! Just guessing, no proof, yet!!
Yes, definitely gets bolted to something!
Thanks for the help! I will get things figured out, ( hopefully) tomorrow!
[ATTACH] Having trouble uploading photos, will try again tomorrow!
Trying to figure out what this is, or, is used for. Well made, not sure if mass produced, or a one-off. [ATTACH]
