    I know who made it and roughly how old it is but what was it used for?

    Hi All. this is a Dutch silver plate ladle/spoon made by PakoMetaalwarenfabriek in 1977. It looks like a miniature punch ladle at just 5" (12.5cm)...

    There are some Boer War uniforms which are close and one Australian one of that era but like that guard, none have the red plumes.
