Featured Child’s rocking chair

    Any way to tell if this rocker is vintage? It looks old, but are there any clues I should look for to establish an age.

    The shape of the seat, back, and bentwood arms all look vintage; late 20th century.

    Are there any markings or labels still visible, or maybe just a lighter colored spot where a label could’ve been at some point?
    And could you also please provide a picture from under the chair and the sides?

    As of now it looks Thonet bentwood style to me.

    Agree with A.J.: not Thonet. A relatively recent design inspired by bentwood furniture of the 19th century.

    With that rather small straight on picture with no other angles, it took a bit of doing to compare to my properly marked Thonet given to me in 1969 in anticipation of my son's birth. But there are parts missing if you know what to look for.
