IMG_0609_1 (2).JPG Can partially read stamp on inside of drawer, "of all kinds of furniture.....Keokuk, Iowa". Would like to know who made this buffet. Possibly find a matching piece. Have done a lot of internet research on Keokuk and furniture makers that had grapes on their wood furniture.

    Thanks for any help,

    Hey Rene:

So what did you find out in your research?

Nice walnut buffet ca. 1870. Sometimes those labels refer to the entity that sold the piece rather than the entity that made the piece. Just sayin'....not necessarily the case with you.

Pretty much what you just said. We think the stamp was the company that sold it, too. I did a search for furniture with grapes (just for fun) to see what I could find. Saw some great stuff but nothing that matched mine.

Ditto what Ghopper1924 said. Something about the feet says possibly not original to me.
