Wondered if anyone could help with the signature stamps, and/or what I would call the colored treatment on the side?

Apologies in advance if I have the marks in the wrong orientation... Thanks!

Hi, Lucille.b: Did you ever receive any information on this teapot? I picked up a similar one today. The marks on mine look different but the colored treatment is very similar.

    Thanks!

    Juli,

I wound up selling mine -- no huge value in the end, I think it sold for $30 on Ebay. I posted good photos of all marks, had a couple of bids so at least several eyes got to look at it. The only keyword I came up with (as I found mentioned in another Yixing auction) was to call the design "swirl clay". Mine was not an old piece, I'm guessing maybe 1990's or so. If yours has a different signature, that might be more desirable --you never know. Certain makers are more collectible for sure.

Thanks, Lucille! Yes, you just never know sometimes. It would be helpful if I could read Chinese, but NO! LOL. I will probably end up doing what you did. We'll see how it goes. I appreciate the additional info regarding what you called this quite different treatment. Mine isn't swirled, though. I took a few quick pictures. What would you call that? LOL.

Did you ever find out about your tea pot? I have one that looks similar with the same logo on the bottom.

    Thank you

Hi, Rm2020: I never found out anything more on mine. I ended up selling it, too, for around $50.

    Good luck!
