I acquired these from a very nice man whose father apparently fought in the Battle of the Bulge and brought home quite a few trophies!

I originally went for the bayonet, but he made a great deal on the Colonial knife, too. The edge of the saw is broken off, not sure if that can be repaired or better left as-is. Either way, I love these items! 20240405_152031.jpg 20240405_151958.jpg

I'm pretty sure it's a Colonial but will get some pics. The end of the sawblade is broken off.

What do you mean by one's done?

Thanks! Should I clean them? Clean one over the other? Neither?

@the blacksmith , may have thoughts on that.... And how to do it.

Neither are big money blades , one broken , the other without a sheath , but both are collectable ....and as a collector..... I'd take them apart and clean them up all spiffy like !!

I'd also be on the lookout for a matching sheath......

I'd also consider asking the guy u bought them from.....to write down a little note of who his Dad was.....where he fought.... just to keep a little history with the weapons.
