    It looks like needlepoint, not woven.

    Hey, no apology needed! The only reason I know is because my first job was in a yarn shop. We sold yarn for knitting plus crewel, hooked rug and needlepoint kits.

    That likely did come from a needlepoint kit which you may be able to track down with an internet search.
