I recently got this old fossilized mammoth bracelet. I however realized it had some mold growth on it and it smelled musty. I dabbed at it with alcohol and some came off but there is still a good amount of mold spotting embedded in it as it is a porous material. Would you guys still wear it with the mold growth? I just don't want sweat to cause the mold to grow more.

Take it off with #000 steel wool. Use any of these post for protection afterwords. https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/mammoth-ivory-care.521168/

Are you sure it's fossilized? I'm not a geologist, however mammoths died out around 4,000 years ago? I believe that fossilization generally takes at least 10,000 years... How long does fossilisation take? | Curious Meerkat

    Don't sweat.:pompous:
Mammoths appeared around 5 million years ago, so most mammoth remains have had enough time to become fossilised. I am not sure this is fossilised though.
