Would love any info on this cool old chair

    Hi,
    My husband got this chair as a barter for some handy-work he's doing. It's quite intriguing to me. The people that gave it to him said it was old and thought to be stuffed with horse hair. Could anyone tell me what time frame this chair could be from and is it valuable? The man wanted to get rid of it because he said it was "haunted". LOL

    Interesting chair without any historical precedence that I can think of. This makes me think 20s or later. My gut reaction says post-war on into the 60s. Maybe Italian.

    Id say more 50s -60s too . Its a great chair. DONT change the upholstery ,I love that worn velvet ! Just give it a good clean. :)

    let me guess your husband is working at an old converted fire station.... it was actually dan akroyd that gave him the chair???? who ya gonna call......
