Any idea what that is?

I really have no clue, I'm interested to hear others opinions!

A picture of the entire item might help? It may be some kind of hanging scale - it seems made to hang something...

 

I wouldn't think loom as reeds are made from metal wires and the dents are not wide enough to pass warp ends through.

 

It does give me the impression of something made to deal with fabric or linens or... things...

 

It's got a bell. Musical thing?

 

Could you take a picture of the whole thing, back and front against a plain background and well lit. Then the details may make some sort of sense.

What we have is a series of puzzle pictures.

 

Ok, this is out there, but:

(If that's a pulley (?) on top) some kind of sign with a bell (?) to announce a message?

Or some kind of scale/weighing device? It's not especially sturdy looking enough, but maybe that wire is providing good reinforcement.

I'm sorry I don't have more pics now. I may get some but not sure. I just left the piece where it was because it was pricey for not knowing what it was.

So, basically it is that triangle piece with the bell and then the rectangular piece with the .... whatever you call it.. they are not metal wires... The third picture shows the end parts of the rectangular...

 

Is that a pulley?

 

Maybe it's a hanging door bell/ scarf holder. The holes could've supported hooks. Maybe it had a mirror at one time? That's my best guess.
