Featured Wooden Case leather inside

Wasn't sure where to post this, maybe because to many of my Sisters beers she brought over. Feeling a little woopsi!_ns^54@+/aG6{oh.
I was wondering if this wooden briefcase was made by Jeffrey Benjamin, if so, where would he put his name or logo ? Also if not, could it be a ship captains briefcase, the wood has some crackling in some areas with beginning splitting.
I can't find any with brass corners. Sorry if some of my photos look blurry, it's not the beer, it's my new used cheap piece of poop camera. My other camera that broke had stable focusing.

Not a Jeffrey Benjamin, his interior label often came off, but there would be an inset brass logo on the side - there were quite a few other wooden briefcase manufacturers in the 1980s-90s, hard to tell from your pics, but suspect your lining is not real leather, thought the trim may be...

Really, wow. Did it have a makes name or how much did you pay for it ?

 

I can't for the life of me remember who made it. They weren't cheap - I carried good briefcases, as they were as important as handbags.
