    With that collar and his features , Id think more Mexican or south American .

    I think it looks like an older woman wearing a bonnet. Maybe a Mennonite woman? Many Mennonites migrated to Mexico in the early part of the 20th century.

    After looking at it more closely , Im wondering if its American folk art ? I totally see a woman now that Brenda pointed it out .
