Wondering about the date? UK glazed earthenware gold gild detail

    I'm trying to find approx date. I'm hoping for 18th c but may have to settle for 19th. It's pretty and may have had a cane handle I believe. Can't find similar so looking for expert boffin instead.

    It’s not early. Might even be early twentieth.

    Biscuit barrel? Looks like there might have been a handle with those bits on the side. Also a bit odd to see the base glazed with that chocolate brown. My feeling is turn of the 20th c at the oldest.
