Won a jewely box at auction...what are these?

Appears they could be altered coins? Which country? Know they're not worth a whole hoot, just curious. Thanks for looking.

I've seen Riyals made into spoons, quite similar to these, and same time period - mid 50s; but no idea about the purpose of the pointy addition.

 

My husband had a letter opener like that, which I dont remember what coin the country was from. It currently resides w/ one of our adult kids.

 

Good idea. If I put these up, I'll list them as letter openers.
