Winton Cup

I have searched the net and cannot find anything similar to this Royal Winto Cup I have been give. I think it is from the 1934 - 1950's era but that's about all I can find, so I am hoping someone can help.

It is 10cm (4") high and has a gold rim and golf trim on the handle. Is it from a specific range and should it have a saucer ?

Maybe you came across this in your searches:



I saw this ebay listing that had a set with "Pip the Panda": matching cup, saucer, and bowl, but it was marked as Pip the Panda - Royal Winton. I'm guessing yours was part of a similar set.

Anyhow, not my area of expertise, so wait for others.

 

I think, timewise, your mark dates 1941 or after if I'm reading the "A" information correctly from a quick read. So, 1941-50 (I think).

Your cup was once part of a children's set.
Royal Winton/Grimwades made them in different storybook themes.

I don't know why none of this came up on my searches, but Thank You for this information, it is very helpful. The letter "A" is a very interesting read. I thought it may have been a makers signature
