Decorative. The type of painting that would have been sold in a furniture store to compliment decor.

This looks a lot like regional paintings done by a good friend of my cousin up in NH. They have both passed away now. He was what I'd call a 'talented amateur' and taught basic painting at a local senior center. I have three paintings of scenery that my cousin painted in his class that are very similar to this.

 

So, you think is New England or so?
I removed the backing paper and there are some writings but hard to read. I’ll see if I can scrape the leftover paper on one of it.

DON"T scrape the paper. Just use a damp cloth and cover the paper, in a while it should lift right off.

I wouldn't say it's not New England or someone in NH but just from the scenery it could be many places. Even here in VA.

The writing on the back looks to me like from Pediwect? Or maybe not
