William Plante

The art work is 21x37 inches It is signed William Plante It appears to be 1 dimensional yet it sorta dosn't It is framed in an old type asian frame with brass corners.
I know William Pante is a famous Photographer but it does and dosn't look like a Photo

Steve, are we looking at a fan or at a print of a fan?
The photos are very blurry, but from what I can see the frame (construction) of the fan is fairly recent.

Could you show us a pic of the signature?

 

maybe it's a print of a photo..........

you say the guy's a photographer.........
to me , this looks too large to be a photo...
and I'd expect more that just a siggy on an actual photographers work..

In My Opinion......

 

I used to work for him. Bill took the pictures and brought the film to the dark room at the factory where he developed it. He then decided what size it would be and prints were made. I was one of the picture framers
