Wicker shoe

    Hi,
    I have a wicker shoe basket. The dimensions are 10 ¾” x 7” x 3 ¾” I was wondering origin of country, how old, type of wood used in making it and worth.

    I don't know anything about baskets.
    However, I've noticed quite a bit of mildew on the ones you've been showing.
    I expect that will lower the price if you are thinking of selling.
    Maybe someone here can tell you what to do about it.

    called a melon basket....or egg basket....a gathering basket....this one has some age to it ..
    maybe $20 in an antique shop...
