My wife bought this a few years back at an antique store. Not sure what to call it the bottom has felt, it has two drawers and on the ends are metal handles. I took a picture posted below and was wondering if anyone recognizes it.
My wife wants to add 30” metal legs to the bottom to make it a stand alone but not sure if that would take away from the value.

I don't think that's terribly old. Familiar somehow. The Bombay Company or Restoration Hardware?

Could you show us the felt on the bottom please? And the inside of one of the drawers too?

I think making it a stand alone is a great idea, but let's wait what @verybrad says about age and origin.:)

I can't access the site, it is US only, what does it say?
Wood does look much better than metal, is that how it is supposed to be?

Not a very helpful description. "And table a small buffet 30” tall X 41” wide 15” deep perfect for entryway how much for this one$60 cash must pick up Woodlawn and bandera area thanks" Sold at that price.

That makes sense. So @Karll 's wife has to look for an Asian looking console table/hall table to go under it. Possibly Indonesian, and teak.
Metal legs would look very much out of place, or did I say that?

Wonder how the pieces got separated in the first place.

A mystery. If someone only wanted the table, those aren't too difficult to find. And any damage is much more likely to have occurred on the rattan part than on the wood, so the table couldn't have been damaged beyond repair.

As suggested, a fairly modern import. Was probably a few hundered when new (with the table). Just used furniture at this point so I don't think you can hurt the value.

Thanks for all the help, didn’t think it was all that old and my wife bought it 4 or 5 years ago and thinks that is about the price she paid for it.
