Hi all. i picked up this Raymor vase today with original tag on the bottom. it is 10 1/2" tall Smoky gray and clear.
I was surprised to see one on ebay for sale, but his was only 8"
Was wondering if anyone might know who made it for Raymor?
And when it might have been made. MCM?

It says 50 per hour with a three hour minimum haha.
There is a Facebook group "Raymor Imports" I sent a request to join. Apparently the numbers and letters on the tag tell you who it was made by and they might have the answer.

Mark is lovely, and very helpful. He also really knows his stuff. (Where are you getting that 150 from?)

From his contact me page. I'm sure he is a nice guy and very helpful. I wouldn't say anything mean about someone i don't know.

"You wouldn’t expect a lawyer or plumber to work for nothing – and nor would you do your job for free – so Mark cannot respond to inquiries or valuation requests by email, telephone, Twitter, Facebook, or in person without being paid.Fees for valuations or research are £50 per hour, with a minimum charge of £150 or a (seven hour) day rate of £350, plus expenses."

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I wonder how one pays him before even starting the conversation? In other words, although he says he won't respond to inquiries without being paid, I wonder whether he would reply to a simple email? I'm a little confused by that but since OBB knows him I suppose the wording refers to responses about particular items that he would have to research.

It's because he's been stalked and ripped off. He makes his living from reaearching, writing and appearances. People used to send him photos and such and expect freebies, then get absolutely appalling abusive when he'd not the time to do it. So, he uses that to put people off. He's quite right, really, you'd not expect a lawyer or assesor to do it for nowt.

He's also had people copy his words and content - it's generous that he allows it as long as there's an acknowledgement.

If you send him a photo of something that contributes to research and offer to let him use the picture if it's useful, you never know.
