I did a clearance today and found this picture among a vast collection of music memorabillia, autographed photo`s of pop stars from the 60`s and 70`s., American and British. I`m assuming this guy is a singer/musician or sports star but I don`t recognise him or his signature.
That's F S Lecurmund and his signature move was fighting his way out of paper bags. In this case a really huge one. He moved to Japan and went mad due to all the traditional paper walls that he could not resist.
It looks like "Bob White" or "Bob Wilson" or some such to me. No clue as to the bottom line, nor who he is.
I don't recognize the face or the signed name, but I think the first line might just be "best wishes"
Just a thought, he reminds me a little of Alan Bates from the days of Georgy Girl and Zorba the Greek. I know it probably isn't because of the hair line, ears and the sig certainly doesn't look like Alan Bates. Just a youthful fantasy still hanging around this old broad. --- Susan
Shame on you Davey ! Not recognising the worlds greatest Yorkshireman ( apart from all the others.) It is, of course) Freddie Truman. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=f...eddie+trueman+signature&imgrc=76f0pFpBkavR6M:
Thank you for putting me out of my misery! He is SO familiar, and it was driving me crazy trying to think why... well done
Thank you, he looks very young on there, and i would have been even younger at the time and didn`t recognize him even though he is a fellow Yorkshireman. Cricket was never my thing, looking at those hands I first thought he was a goalie.
If that's Truman, why does the last letter have an uptick as if it's a t,d, or h? However, if you look at images, it certainly is old Freddie.
