Who is Longi?

I inherited this painting. Have had it for some time now, and decided to finally figure out who the artist is and possibly acquire more pieces. Has anyone heard of what I am assuming is a last name Longi?

Thank you - I think this could be a match.

 

The signature seems to be the same.

 

I always find it suspect when the only information I can find about an artist is on auction sites.

When I start looking for this guy on non-auction sites, I find multiple references to Carlantonio (one word, not a typo) Longi who designed movie posters.

Same guy? Well, the internet thinks so. I don't know.







And just because I love it:

 

Didn't even realize there was a sig in the first piece I posted.

Signing in pen is different than signing in paint... the long straight "g" in both is compelling.

I still don't know.
