There is some writing in the lower right area. First word may be "duche" as in Duke. But the ascender on the "d" is not there, so perhaps it's not a "d."

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

You have great eyesight! I found the writing but all I can tell is that there is a "uc" in there, and maybe "uch" or "uck"-- I think there might be a dot over the letter after that, so it might be an "i." And the writing after that is so faint.

He is wearing a large medal on his coat. I wonder if there is enough visible to tell what it is?

Do you think it could be a portrait of Joachim Murat, King of Naples?

There must be a dozen or so portraits of him. I was specifically looking for pictures with this type of hat and the feathers.
I wonder what those things hanging from the cord on his back are, in OP's portrait. One looks like a pine cone and the other one looks like a tiny pineapple.

Synchronicity, sort of. Doing a bit of Googling around w/o 'Murat' as a search term, found:

    Murat's Engraving
    45 W 47th St, New York, NY 10036

    A jewellery engraver.

Problem is that Mouchi does not make phonetic sense in either French or Italian, while Mouche means Fly in French, confounding search.

I think that it is actually his name Joachim .The ""oachi"" is clearly visible so putting J in front and m after gives his name. The next piece of writing could possibly be Murat, and then Sculp or something similar
