A bit of an odd piece, I know. Some damage, arm is missing from the one woman calling out of the window. Curious if the scene is from a book? Also, any guesses on the stamped signature? Thanks!

Lucille, I believe it's Lucien Neuquelman pottery, Paris.

Any guess on the story line? At first I thought "cute" with black cat, etc. :cat: But now I'm wondering if the cook or whatever is throwing the cat out. Cook has a rolling pin...

Is the girl in the window missing her right arm?

That's what the opening post mentions..................though the bit about it being the right was omitted.....................

No white on the black animal (that stripe is a reflection of light.)

Maybe the French don't like cats?

Thanks to all for taking a look, and appreciate the ID.

The thing in the maid's hand looks like a great big bulb syringe to me. Is she intending to give that critter an enema...?

It could also be a turkey baster artificial insemination scene. It's a very bizarre sculpture.

I'm usually very ladylike, but every once in a while.....

Seriously though, back on the farm, I've seen very old school veterinary work.
