I have a 1970s coleman single burner propane stove and the metal badge
has come off. I would like some help on which glue and the name of the
glue to use to reglue the metal plate back onto its place on a metal propane single burner propane stove that is used for such activies as camping? The second to last picture shows the back of the plate and the last picture shows the place on the propane stove that it came off of. Thank you for your help with this request. Rob

3M VHB doubletape. Pricey stuff, but once on, you're good. Might be equivalents out there too.

It looks like there is just spray adhesive that held the ID plate on. You can use any spray adhesive as that area would not get hot. Gorilla make a great spray adhesive but any would work. Too bad the Coleman repair shop here in Wichita KS closed otherwise I would pop in and ask them what was used.
Here is a website dedicated to Coleman repair. https://www.oldtowncoleman.com/reference/coleman-stove-parts-diagrams.htm
Here is an email of a real pro at repairing them also

for outdoors heavy duty use I'd use rivets.

I sent an email with pictures to the real pro at repairing coleman and it will be interesting to hear his/her take on glue to use. Take care. Rob

That will really secure it and will not come off as easily as just regluing it would?
Thank you for the advice. Rob

    Hi Mr. Kiehl,
Old Town Coleman Center replied with the following:
Rob hello and thank you for the note. I'd probably use a rubberized epoxy, they type that you allow to partially dry on both surfaces and the stick them together. This will resist vibration and should do fine with the heat. It will also allow you to carefully place the decal in the correct location!
