Where was this photograph taken?

I know this photograph below was taken by the photographers 'Harold Squibbs' of Cardigan, Wales. Does anyone out there recognise the house in the photo!? A very long shot I know! I'm assuming the house must be in or around the Cardigan area.. or maybe could anyone advise how I could find out which house it was?

It looks like so many houses in Cardigan or anywhere in Britain. Wasn't this a family picture? Wouldn't it be easier to find out where they lived at the time, in the Cardigan records?

 

Yes you're right but the problem is I don't currently know where my ancestors (from a particular branch) lived before... and I'm pretty convinced it could be them in the photo. If I knew the house or at least the town/village it's in I could work from there.. all a bit difficult really

 

You may be able to find out more through a genealogy site. Look up the earliest person you do know about and look for their parents, grandparents, etc. There will often be a mention of which records the information came from.

 

I just Google Earthed street view of Aberteifi. There sure are a lot of houses that potentially could be it. It's also hard to know what modifications could have been made but interesting.
