Featured Where are these earrings from and help with the mark (Arabic??)

I picked up these earrings recently and I am not at all sure what language the makers mark is in, although I do wonder if it is Arabic? Hoping it says they are silver. Also, apologies if the image is not round the right way, I am not too sure which way it should be! Any help to decipher this would be greatly appreciated.

I also wonder where in the world the earrings are from and what age they might be? Not had ones like these before so I am not at all sure.
