Is it solid enuf to survive the small end being whacked with a hammer? Reminds me of a nail remover. Cone end slides over point of a nail sticking thru piece of wood. Hit small end with hammer and nail moves straight back into wood, exposing head on other side of wood, for pulling with hammer claw. If u don’t use one of these the nail often gets bent making removal very difficult. It is a bit short for a nail remover but ya never know!

    It's gold plated and decorated.

A Bond villain chick carried it to administer the poison.

It is a cigar piercer. For the other end of the cigar you would use a cigar cutter.

For us to guess it correctly you must compress the spring fully when assembled and describe what happens, does it release automatically or what?
