What was this little silver butterfly wing thing for ?

    it was with a job lot, clasp of some sort? The pearl necklace was with the same lot and are real pearls, wondering age of them, 50s? 60s? thank you.     Sterling Silver Made in England?
    I love the little scraps of jewellery like the butterfly wing. You just need some inspiration to make it into something useful again.
    Sorry, that’s on the pearls, I can’t see the other one. Maybe silver and two initials LH?

    Sorry the pearls pic is a bit blurry, KSW is correct the pearls clasp says Sterling silver made in England, the little whatever it is says Silver LH. It does look like part of a belt buckle but it's tiny? 22mm x 17mm.

    Probably made by Thomas L Mott. Brazilian morpho butterfly wing. Might be a bracelet panel.

    It could be repurposed by adding a chain that attaches or each side so that it hangs horizontal to the ground.
