Featured What Was This in a Previous Life?

**SCROLL DOWN BELOW THE PICS FOR RESOLUTION**

I'm posting this to see if anyone recognizes it as something other than a pendant.

Something about it makes me think it started life as one thing and then was repurposed in to a pendant. I'm not sure what it is about it that makes me think that it wasn't originally for a necklace.

It's 2-1/4" long, 1-1/4" wide and 5/16" thick. It is solid glass and weighs 27 grams. The bale looks like it is sterling.

IDK, it just look like to me as if someone had a spare piece of hardware and decided to make a pendant out of it. Opinions?








RESOLUTION: As I was proofreading this thread, I noticed in one of the pictures that there is writing on the side of the pendant! It is marked "Waterford". I decided to post the thread anyway as I figured someone else might appreciate knowing that Waterford made pendants.
