Featured What the heck is this? Wooden carved plaque Windmill and Rider falling off his horse?!

In my flying visit to the charity shop I saw this on the top shelf and couldn’t make head nor tail of it. I belong to a Facebook go group called ‘cr*p you find in charity shops’ and wonder if this belongs on there?
I didn’t have time to ask someone to get it down so I could wonder at the monstrosity but I took a photo to ask on here
It’s big at about 2’6” tall.

My dear Mother would have loved this. I'd have paid a few bucks to buy it for her as a gift, sure wish she was still around to enjoy her Don Quixote collection. So as for my family experience, I'd buy it knowing there are collectors around.

 

AND strictly, just for the FUN of it, I took the up angled distortion out of the image to see the whole image better...and I too have never read Don Quixote! (UGH....I also think I forgot to make it a 'smart object' first..rats!)
