The pin isn't worth much, doubtless, but I'd love to know where it came from if not what it says. DSCF8507.JPG

The red star suggests communism so I reckon it's probably Chinese.

It's actually a red snowflake, so I was half thinking Japanese ski resort. :)

From an old ebay listing without any further info.
Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines. What did they have in common in 1973?

Nothing that immediately springs to mind. Some sort of international sporting-event perhaps?

    Hi,
I do not think snowflake due to snowflakes having eight sides. This one only has seven sides.

I don't think it's a chrysanthemum either; the standard mon has rounded petals.

    It's Chinese language.
However, it reads :" Hokkaido Women Aboard Dispatch Group".

I really don't know they dispatch for what. Probably....... some special occupation. :dead:

    "平安" - safety.

It's a safety blessing amulet (many different shapes and carriers in Chinese Culture.)
