What kind of metal photo's are they?

    That straw boater (AKA as a skimmer, sennit, sailor straw) dates that tintype from the late 19th century to 1920s.

    I agree with you on the tintype of the man on the horse. I think the tintype of the woman is a bit earlier. From what I can see of her dress I think early 1880s, probably. Or a little earlier perhaps. There are remnants of paper on that one, but I haven't gotten any clues about the dating from those. -- and because I can't see enough of her outfit, I could be off. I don't have my clothing style dating references here.
