What kind of glass is this and how old?

Hello. Has anyone any idea what kind of glass this is? I had thought of Peking glass, but it is rather thin and does not have a footrim. It’s actually a very appealing dark purple colour. The mouth rim has been ground down.

You can do it yourself. Select 'edit' from below your message; then choose 'other options' (it's something like that, I can never remember the exact words) & delete the extras the same as you would delete anything else you wanted to remove.
