What kind of fish is this and is this a bottle opener?

    Can anyone say what kind of fish this is?
    And also is this a bottle opener?

    Modelled after a 16th-17th C representation of a dolphin and an image dating from a time when few would have actually seen one. A typical embellishment on old maps, but obviously this one is as new as yesterday. Probably a paperweight.

    Maybe should try opening a beer with it... I think it wpuld... using the snout to hook under the cap with the body upside down...
